The restoration of Palanga Amber Museum Palace.
Palanga Amber Museum is located in the neo-classical style counts Tiškevičiai palace of the end of nineteenth century. The major reconstruction was carried out following the project “The restoration of Palanga Amber Museum Palace, and adaptation to modern cultural tourism needs”. The whole roof structure was changed, the roof was insulated and covered with high quality German copper plate, storm drain system was installed, the attic was adjusted and fitted to use, the ceilings of basement and three floors were changed, new parquet floor was laid, elevators were equipped. The installation was replaced, modern communication, alarms, watching, fire protection systems were installed, as well as drainage, water supply, ventilation, cooling, heating networks and other equipment. The building and its avenues were adapted to modern services of contemporary tourists, high state level conferences, and various cultural events, as well as to the needs of people with disabilities.
